I saw one for the first time the other day and only recognised it after seeing your photo. Unfortunately by the time I'd got the right lens on my camera, it jumped in the air, slapped it's feet together, made a 'beep, beep', sound and ran off. I gave chase for a few feet, but my attempts to get near made Wile. E Coyote look competent. You got a great shot of the partridge.

I walked this route some years ago. The cascade was just a dribble. Near the end of the route was a simple sad memorial to a young German girl killed by a falling rock. I wonder if it's still there. I didn't know you now had to pay/pre book the walk but it's all in a good cause. Bus routes/times from Las Americas might help an interested tourist. Hello Colin/Lemming.
